Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. The actress was born as the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens, Alexandra played the leading character in various TV dramas. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like the role of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically successful Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the actress. In the past, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of notable international and national projects. This includes the British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. Other roles she has held include being juror at two festivals: and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
